Godminster Vintage

There have been dairy cows grazing on the fertile pastures of Godminster, in Somerset, for over a hundred years.
Godminster Vintage Organic Cheddar, our flagship product, is unusually creamy and made with milk from our own organic dairy herd.
Using a 70 year old recipe, our cheese is allowed to mature for at least 12 months, before being coated in our distinctive purple wax (which also helps to maintain its creamy texture).
The entire process is carried out locally, using traditional methods, to create a modern British cheddar.

Following the success of our cheese, we developed a range of handmade, award-winning cheddar crackers, using Godminster Vintage and herbs grown at our farm.
All of these products are non GM, certified organic and suitable for vegetarians.

Godminster is not just a dairy farm and beetroot grows particularly well in our organic soil.
Combining it with apples from the orchards at the farm, we have created a chunky chutney that complements our cheddar, both in taste and colour.

More recently, we’ve diversified to include a range of delicious and unusual vodkas, flavoured with organic fruits and roots from the farm.
These include horseradish, elderflower and cucumber, as well as the more traditional blackcurrant and sloe.
